A Message from David Clapp

People often ask if I was in the military. The answer is “No.” It’s a compliment. I guess it has to do with my posture OR my blunt tendency to tell you what I’m thinking whether you want to hear it or not.

Life is fun because I get to do what I truly love. As a Master Fitness Trainer and Professional Speaker, I love bringing out the best in people. Our outer limits are determined by our perceived limitations. We are indeed our own worst enemies. We need someone else to push us further than we believe possible.  That is why I breathe.  That is why I jump out of bed in the morning, eager to push one more person just one step further.

I earned my degrees in Exercise Physiology and Athletic Training in my native New York State at Manhattan College.  I fell in love with exercise at age 12.  My older sister said, “You can’t workout as much when you go to college and start a career!” Whenever someone says, “You can’t!”, they trigger the inner mechanism in me that says, “Oh yeah?” That’s when I figured out a way to earn a degree in working out and do it for a living.

I’ve been a Trainer for more than 20 years. I’m 44-years old and still feel like I’m 20. I haven’t always been fit nor have I always been healthy. I can understand and relate to the various struggles many people face. Empathy? Yes! Sympathy? NO! Go to momma for sympathy. When you come to Boot Camp, be prepared to SUCK IT UP and YOU will get the results YOU want!

I can't thank you enough for the inspiration you have provided me to exercise hard on a regular basis.  It is a great way of life. I have never been in (or seldom in) better shape than I am right now.  I plan on keeping that.

Dear David,

Hey man, Nik here. I just want to say thank you and let you know how much I love and appreciate your class. I always try to stay in good shape. Running, push ups, pull ups and doing different exercises with dumbbells. Even before I left for California I was just jogging to trim down.  I have gotten faster results from your class then ANYTHING ever.

Just wanted to say thanks again for such a great winter break working out with all of you.
